Get on the move campaign III: Always Pad

This is the final ad in the 'Get on the move campaign' for the Always brand. It has been a very interesting ride, with all the brain storming sessions and all the beautiful comments to grace it. I must appreciate you all for your comments and suggestions.

On a lighter note, I am really thinking about this Blogville idol 2008 contest and I think I would love to join in the contest! I am not much of a good singer but I love to sing! I am going to do this for my love for music and I hope you guys would wish me luck!

I am really getting so weary about this Youth Service year and I can't wait for it to be over. The weather here in the North has been so unbearable and to the extreme. When it rains, it appears as if the heavens would crumble to the earth and when the sun comes up, you would wish the rain hasn't stopped! What a world of antithesis!

I am working on a post on Branding with emphasis on the Nigerian Banking Industry. I would be exploring their brand achetypes with a view to suggesting ways to building a stronger brand which can deliver on its brand promise as well as take customers through the brand experience. I should have this published next week.

In the mean time, I would appreciate your criticism, comments and suggestions on this ad!

HMMM, THIS IS QUITE A MUCH BETTER APPROACH TO YOUR ADS. I REALLY LOVE THIS STATEMENT....

Dammy you are trully gifted. I also agree with Parakeet on ballet and the connection with Nigeria. If it is international audience you seek to pull cool but if it is Nigerian's or Africans, why not try something more ethnic. Still love your idea though. Much love.

@Kinshar: Really? I am flattered! I promise to do my best in my service to my country. Thanks.

@parakeet: I am blushing, LOL. "Ballet and Nigeria?" This is meant to appeal to an international audience since the brand is an international brand. But the campaign can still be adapted to suit the African context...

To understand the tag line "get on the move with always" i would suggest you check other ads in this campaign.

We are only trying to rival international ad agencies in our concepts! Thanks for stopping by.

@Lilian: Thanks so much for your observation, I will work on that but you guessed right, it was for an international audience.

I am getting back in the groove. It has taken me a couple of days. That post took a bit out of me. I have been a bit busy the past few days replying to the comments that were sent in.

I have to be completely honest and say that I felt the love and vibration that was sent in from everyone. I know that may seem a bit corny. But, I don't know how to describe it. I may post about it. Or, I may just let it go and move on to something else... this wiped me out a bit just thinking about the whole incident...

Just suffice to say that I was amazed by how everyone reacted...

Thank you! Kayce

Great quote, but i don't know if the visual and the quote connect,(maybe they do on another level and i have not reached such levels yet)Anyway i agree with the weird correlation between Nigeria and ballet and making it for an international audience. But something international i think, should not necessarily exclude Nigeria. (i hope u get what i mean)

quick question, have you ever tried creating you own visuals, like trying out some photography? I guess u can control and manipulate your subject matter well. Just a thought/question

Hey Dammy, How are you doing? I think the ad is generally speaking very creative however, am not sure the market woman at balodun market would understand where the ad was going. I totally get it but I have to agree with parakeet that you need to look for something that connects with the average Nigeria more...maybe a bride on her wedding day or something I dont know.. (creativity is not my forte). How u dey?

I agree with parakeet and Taire Babs on the connection the image has got with the copy but on the other hand when i consider the consumers of this product who are mostly youths mesmerised by foreign influence i understand where you are coming from.

On another level i think creative works should transcend time, race, religion, time and space if possible. It should not also yield its meaning at first contact, this enables consumer keep product in mind which i know is the greatest aim of advertising. This copy did both to a very commendable extent, at least it took me almost 24 hours to grasp the meaning and i was almost distracted at work trying to fix it all. Keep it up, you are closer to it than before. maybe you should also think about femi b's 'thought/question' i think it will make this 'original', you get whati mean?????
How are you ?

Loved the copy. Really creative but i have a problem with the visual.

A blank page with a big red dot like a fullstop(which is also period)would have coveyed ur story better.

or you coud have a statement like-
"I want to party tonight" ending with a big red dot.

All the same u dey try well well sor about the northern weather.Na ur country u dey serve so endure, lol!

Nice ad. Love the period-statement thing. And the ballerina too, but like has been said, something ethnic would be on pont. Kudos!
